You can encounter God at any time in any place. He may not reveal Himself to you in the way you expect, but you are free to reach out to Him in any moment by simply saying a sincere prayer in your heart to Him. One of the best ways to know God is to reflect on the scriptures of the Bible, especially the gospels that tell of Jesus, who IS God as a human form, who came to earth both to be a sacrifice for the sins of mankind and to teach people about the way to heaven.
Hi, I’m Stuart, author and creator of The Fire Tongue. I’ve encountered God in my life in a very powerful way, but it was after years of diligently searching for Him when I was younger. I grew up in the church and respected its teachings, but I did not practice everything Jesus taught, and I fell away from Christianity for a while. Later in life I delved into a deeper search for God and He met me in a way I did not expect, speaking to my heart and soul very clearly and deeply. Eventually, I became devoted to applying the teachings of Jesus and the Bible in my life and the quality of my life changed drastically for the better. I got off addictions and started to focus on more important things in my life like career and close relationships. One other thing the Holy Spirit led me to do was to go out and help the people in need around where I lived, giving them food and praying for them. That is the great wisdom of God, to send His servants to help people who need it.
If you have not met God, I encourage you first to say a sincere prayer in your heart to Him. It has to be sincere, because God knows our hearts. He created them, and He gave us the free will to develop the courage and understanding to reach out to Him. He is also an Awesome Mystery. His ways can be mysterious, but they are usually to teach us valuable lessons about the life He made for us. Secondly, find a Bible and read it daily. It is God’s message to us and the story of His interaction with humanity. Lastly, consider joining a church and talking to a priest or pastor about your journey to discover God and what He wants for your life.
I pray that you won’t go another day without knowing the power of God in your life each day, and the beautiful things He already has planned for your life. Amen.
