Born November 21, 1962, in Paducah, Kentucky, he has released over 25 albums and won five Grammy Awards and 59 Dove Awards — more than any other artist in Christian music history. He’s known for hits like “Dive,” “Cinderella,” and “The Great Adventure,” and was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in 2024, the first Christian artist to receive that honor.
