This blog started as some writings that began with a revelation I had about the fourth spatial dimension while reading “Mathematics: A Very Short Introduction” by Timothy Gowers around May of 2023.
S. M. Hood
Hi, I’m S. M. Hood, the creator and editor of a this personal blog about my own philosophical musings. I have had an avid interest in science and philosophy from a young age, having studied some of the Greek philosophers, and some others well known throughout history.
I was a big fan of the original Cosmos documentary series by Carl Sagan, and have been intrigued by other documentaries such as the Connections series and Brian Greene’s The Elegant Universe on quantum mechanics and string theory.
I grew up learning computer programming from a young age, mostly having experience with basic C++, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and SQL, some of which I studied in high school in a Computer Information Systems program.
I studied a General Arts and Science associates degree at George Brown College in Toronto, and also some years at the Humber College School of Journalism.
Geometry was a favourite subject of mine in high school, and I have studied it on my own recently. Several years ago I started to teach myself calculus, already having a basic understanding of trigonometry and algebra.
I greatly admire Isaac Newton for his contributions to science as well as his dedication to biblical study. I feel that I am similar to him in some ways, and do have a strong belief in God; I feel that some of my revelations are result of my faith to God.
